NTS chapter 1:
Ellen and Annemarie were racing when two German soldiers make them stop and talk to them. Annemarie was the first one to talk to then Ellen ran into the conversation. then Annemarie's little sister was left behind the she got into the talk one of the soldiers brushed Krisiti's hair then all of them ran home as fast as they can.

setting: Copenhagen, Denmark 1943

Chapter 2
in chapter two Kristi begs for a fairy tale then Kristi interups Annemarie that she doesn't get a story. then a German soldier comes to ask who is that man on the horse and he is the king of Denmark.


chapter 3
in Denmark everyone is asleep by 9:00 then peter came to Annemarie's house to warn them that the Germans are taking the jews.


chapters 4-7
Ellen sleaps at Annemarie's house because the Raddi told all of the jews to relocate and the Nazis got hold of the list of jews and where they live so peter relocates Ellens parents and leaves Ellen with her family. then some Germans come to Annemaries house and searched for clues of the Rosens (Ellen is a Rosen). the family got on a train to go to uncle Henricks house and they ran into some soldiers on the train so they got off the next stop and walked the rest to uncle Henrick's house. when the girls get to uncle Henrick's house they run and play outside then Mrs. Jhonansan tells that the girl have to come inside.

chapters 8-17
Mrs. Johansen told all of the remaining jews that the Germans kill the jews

#5 the plot of the story
Exposition:

Initiating Incident:
The Germans are talking all of the Jews from Denmark. The Jews are upset because they are being taken from their homes, and they don't know what is going to happen.
Rising Conflicts:
The Danish Jews try to run away from the Germans because they do not want to be kidnapped. The Germans then try to find them because those are their orders.
Climax:
Is that the danish Jews have to go to the tip of Denmark.because they can take a boat and go to Sweden.
Resolution:
Then the resolution is they go on a boat and cross over to Sweden because Sweden is a neutral contry.
